Autocad 2000lt To Purchase

Installing AutoCAD LT 2000 on Windows 10, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 Posted on June 28, 2014 by simonbooth Most current AutoCAD LT 2000 users are very used to the software package and cannot do without it. Jan 12, 2009 - The disk I purchased appeared to be in an authentic autodesk jewel. Xp in Apr 2014 to 8.1 could not use AutoCAD 2000Lt till Out 17 2014.

At my company, we are in the midst of switching from ACAD 14 to ACAD 2000, and we are running Win98 SE right now. We're looking to also upgrade operating systems, but ACAD 2000 is not 'officially' supported on Win XP Pro (or Home, for that matter), whereas it is supported on Win 2000. We're prefer to upgrade to Win XP Pro, but if it is going to cause glitches in ACAD, then we'll just go with Win 2000, I suppose.

BTW, we only use do 2D stuff in AutoCAD, no 3D whatsoever, if it matters. So, does anyone out there have AutoCAD running in Win XP? That's the good 'ol every other version of ACAD is SOS effect. We used to upgrade to every new release just to preserve upgrade rights, but would end up only running the 'even' numbered versions - 12 & 14. The 'odd' releases - 13 especially, meant taking your life in your hands. ACAD 2000, which would have been an 'odd' release seemed to break that cycle - although there was the 2000i release that addressed a few problems from what I can recall. I think if you really want to keep the LISP routines, you're better off with 2000 and work from there to get 'em converted to VBA.

They already have all of the licenses for ACAD 2000, so hopping to 2002 would entail another round of costs. If we stick with ACAD, we'll probably jump to 2004 at our next CAD upgrade. We, also, are just upgrading to preserve upgrade rights.

It's not like the new versions do much for us, except for allow us to open multiple drawings in one session of ACAD. It's funny, though, one of my co-workers was opening some large drawings in 2000, and he found that he was able to open more drawings if he did separate sessions rather than have all the drawings in one session. We're also giving serious thought to jumping to IntelliCAD or TurboCAD, it's just a matter of getting all of the lisp routines and stuff working right. AutoCAD is convenient, but it sucks to pay $3000 bucks for a seat when we really only need about $500 worth of its functionality. Heh, 'glad' to hear I'm not the only one who shunted the XP* route. GIS apps (Arc* and Imagine 8.x) apparently had several maddening glitches under XP.

Supposedly it is fixed, but as I'm almost thru with my win2k migration, well, we might migrate to XP sometime after Duke Nukem forever is released. 2k + latest versions does quite well.heck, I was suprised that the current/older versions of Arc/Imagine actually made NT4 more stable. (I kid you not.some of the system file updates to the c/c++ files and a smattering of OS files and MSI really helps). Click the AutoCAD icon after it has installed and there you go my 2 cents, Caos Thats exactly what I did. Acad works great for me. 2000 LDD Civil Survey and Cad Overly no problems.

Autocad 2000 On Windows 10

I could not afford the upgrades to the newest versions just for some compatability issue that I have not seen yet. I just don't have over 10k to drop on a 'works with xp' stamp. I have AutoCAD 2000 installed on my home XP Pro box, a measly P3, 500MHz. My wife uses it for work; I never launch it.
